Micah Brown spent his first 15 years in the value-added fresh produce industry, culminating in his time as president of a large fresh-cut processor, re-packer, and prepared foods provider in the Mid-Atlantic. Having walked in the same shoes as Penguin’s customers, he saw firsthand where many vendors fell short. Those experiences have shaped Penguin into the partner he wished he’d had all those years. 

Levi Fey has spent his entire career in the food packaging industry, previously leading sales for his family’s packaging business and serving many of the same companies Penguin supports today. He approaches challenges with curiosity and creativity, solving problems customers didn’t know existed and uncovering value no spreadsheet could predict. His philosophy is simple: if it helps the customer win, we do it. 

Penguin has now gone from an idea to a rapidly scaling organization. That progress is a direct result of the growing team of Penguins behind it. What started lean has developed into a strong group of operational, supply chain, financially savvy, and customer-focused pros who execute with discipline and care. We move as one, being service-obsessed, excellence-driven, and proudly allergic to phrases like “that’s not our job.”  

In just five years, we have expanded both footprint and capabilities, establishing facilities in Maryland and North Texas and becoming a full-service, single-source partner for all types of packaging needed in the food industry, with a primary focus on fresh produce and value-added customers.
